Campaign Member Statuses

Campaign Member Statuses in Salesforce are used to segment campaign members according to actions they have taken (or not taken). We use different member statuses for different campaign types.

Setting Campaign Member Status

Campaign member statuses can be set using form completion actions in Pardot. I.e. when a prospect registers for a webinar, the form completion actions might look like this:

  • Add to list
  • Assign to User/Queue
  • Notify user
  • Register for Gotowebinar webinar
  • Add to CRM campaign X with status of Registered

Automatic creation of Campaign member statuses

Because the different  member statuses need to be created each time a new campaign is created, you can build a flow in SFDC which automatically create these statuses when a new campaign is created. These are based on campaign type that is selected during the creation process.

Important

The Flow only runs when a new Campaign is created. If a Campaign is created and campaign type is not specified, the Flow does not run. It also does not change available member statuses of existing campaigns when the type field is updated.
