GiGuru.net is a community site concept for the Stellenbosch area providing free listings of entertainment events for the area. It is a community site and completely free of charge. The purpose of the site was to bring together, in one place, all the information about upcoming events. Previously a user had to visit several websites to find comprehensive listings of events in the area. The feature set includes:

Front-end features:
  1. Listings of events for the Stellenbosch area.
  2. Ability for users to add their own events and venues.
  3. Event search function with various search criteria, including date, event type, venue etc.
  4. Mailing list for upcoming events and local entertainment news.

Back end Features:
  1. Full administration and customisation of event listings.
  2. Administration of registered users, including automated email notifications.
  3. Automated newsletter generation and distribution.
  4. Banner advertising management.
