After studying Photography at Technikon Pretoria, I relocated to Cape Town. It's here that I started in the Advertising industry as a studio photographer, working on accounts such as Shoprite/Checkers, Aroma Liquors, Lewis Stores, Corricraft and many others.
As a freelance photographer, I concentrated on editorial and industrial/shipping photography. Some notable clients included: Popular Mechanics Magazine, Surf Magazine (Germany), Vodaworld Magazine, Shell Oil, Hellespont Shipping and many more.
One of the great things about shooting freelance editorial projects, is that you never know what you're going to get when you arrive on location. It's very much use what you have and make the best of it. This means that you have to be prepared....for anything.

Photographing a moving subject can be challenging. Photographing a moving subject from a violently moving platform can be almost impossible. During the Around Alone restart in Cape Town, I got tossed onto a small press boat with about 6 other photographers. What fun we had.
